When I was planning my wedding, I took a quick look at the rule book and threw it in the trash. I was not really interested in what I was supposed to do. I wanted to do things MY WAY, so I did.
My wife and I wed in Indianapolis, but I’m originally from New Orleans. To bring the spirit of NOLA to Indy, we used nothing you’d typically hear at a wedding. We used Zydeco music for the procession, a couple hymns during the ceremony (we got married on Easter/April Fool’s Day), we had a live jazz band for the reception and we had cajun food for dinner.
